Nowadays, Google is considered one of the most widely-known labesl on the Internet and this was confirmed by a lot surveys done by the survey companies. Due to its popularity, a lot of net users are oftentimes discussing  it as if it’s a person. But have you ever asked yourselves of what does Google mean?

According to one of the most widely-used online resources, Google means a label used for an online search engine. This brand always seen in print as a verb, from time to time in lowercase.

The name started as a move to elevate the capacity of information the search engine could search for. It was first named ‘Googol’, a word for the number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros.

It is a really large value. As a matter of fact, there is no googol of something in the created universe. Google’s choice of the word replicates Google’s mission to reorder the world’s vast amount of data and make it entirely available and useful.

Since it is a company name, Google is a noun. However, it broadens and eventually to become a verb as numerous users refer to the act of doing their research in the Internet as “googling”.
