Google Translates Arabic to English

leave a comment »

Have you received an email or found an article written in Arabic and wonder how you could understand it? Well, don’t worry because even Arabic translator Google has it, and it’s free!

The translated texts though are generated by a machine so the translation is not that accurate, but at least you can get the idea of what it says right?

Just copy the text and paste it in the box found in this page http://translate.google.com/translate_t# .

Choose Arabic in the first box. The default language is Spanish for this box. For the second box, choose English, or any of the 34 languages supported. Then click the Translate button. The translated text will appear on the right side.

From my experience, there are 75% accuracy for Filipino to English and English to Filipino translations, and can even be 100% accurate if the original text is just a sentence or two. Longer paragraphs translations could be confusing. For Arabic translation, I can’t give you an estimated accuracy. Only a native speaker, a professional translator, or an intermediate speaker can tell you how accurate Google’s translation is.

This language translation from Google is the best so far since it gives a number of languages compared to other free translation services. And what’s more, Google is constantly improving the quality of the translation their tool produces, and users can expect more languages in the future.
